Why We Boycott

For decades, corporations and international supply chains have profited from Congo’s suffering, benefiting from minerals extracted through violence, exploitation, and mass displacement, often without transparency or accountability. Boycott is one of the most powerful peaceful tools available to citizens: it allows people around the world to withdraw economic support from companies linked to harm and create real economic, reputational, and political pressure. It is not symbolic but strategic - a clear message to corporations and governments that they cannot profit from Congolese suffering without accountability.

Targeted Campaigns Against Complicit Companies

CAN identifies and exposes companies whose supply chains, partnerships, or purchasing practices fuel conflict, exploitation, or environmental destruction in Congo.
Through peaceful collective actionĀ - refusing their products, raising awareness, and demanding transparencyĀ - we make complicity too costly to ignore.

Our goal: push corporations to change their policies, practices, or sourcing, or to withdraw entirely from harmful operations.

Consumer Power as a Tool for Accountability

Every purchase is a form of influence.
By choosing not to support companies linked to Congolese harm, consumers exert peaceful pressure that impacts revenue, brand reputation, and investor confidence.

Boycott empowers ordinary people across the world to become active participants in the fight for justice.
No matter where you live, your choices can protect Congolese lives.

Public Awareness and Narrative Change

Boycott is not only about economic pressure - it’s also about visibility.
Our campaigns educate the public about how everyday products (phones, batteries, electronics, luxury goods) are often tied to violence and exploitation in Congo.

By raising awareness, we shift global understanding and build momentum for systemic change.
When people know the truth, they demand better.
